THE RIDE CENTER PRESENTS INVENTION SPRINT! SATURDAY OVTOBER 25, 2025, 9:30AM-12:30PM. A TEAM-BASED SPRINT TO CREATE A SOLUTION TO A REAL WORLD PROBLEM IN AN AFTERNOON.   • Wednesday, November 19th, 2025: RIDE Center "IDEA JAM!" 2025

    Join us for the inaugural RIDE Center IDEA JAM on Wednesday, Nov. 19th, from 5-7pm in the RIDE Center, Parenzo 110. You'll work in a team to create a solution to a real-world problem in an afternoon.  This will be a fast paced opportunity to learn how to come up with solutions to real-world problems, think like an entrepreneur and pitch the idea to real investors! FALL 2025 "Tool Tuesdays" ARE HERE!

On select Tuesdays throughout the FALL 2025 Semester, students, faculty and staff can participate yet again in another successful round of "Tool Tuesdays" workshops designed to introduce them to fabrication tools and creative approaches in the RIDE Center. 

Generously co-sponsored by the Westfield State University Foundation, the RIDE Center, and the Glenn W. Bailey Foundation.

  • September 9:  DIY Push Pin Inspo Boards (sewing machine, Cricut Smart cutting machine, textile design tools)
  • September 23: Laser Etched Mirrors (Epilog laser cutter, Canva Design suite)
  • October 7: Candle & Candle Holder Making (Cricut Smart cutting machine, rapid prototyping tools, drill press, woodworking tools)
  • October 28: Thrifting & Tailoring! (sewing machine, embroidery machine, Cricut Smart cutting machine)
  • December 2: DIY Holiday Cookie Cutters & Ornaments (3D printer, CNC router)
