The mailroom is moving!

I am excited to share that the MAILROOM will soon be relocating to the basement level of the ELY CAMPUS CENTER! Our move will take place over the summer, ensuring we are ready to serve the incoming class in the fall!

Welcome to the Mailroom!

Our mailroom provides comprehensive mail and package handling services for all faculty, staff, and students. Below, you'll find important information about the services we offer, how to use them, and contact details for further assistance.

Package and Letter Mail Receipt

  • Notification: You will receive an email or text notification once your package or letter has been logged into our system and is ready for pick-up.
  • Processing Time: Allow a couple of hours for the mailroom to process your package after receiving a delivery notification from the vendor. Carriers may mark packages delivered prior to the mailroom receiving them. 

Package Pickup and Drop-off

  • Identification: Bring your student ID card to retrieve packages from the mailroom.
  • Proxy Pickup: If you cannot pick up your package, email mailroom@westfield.ma.edu with your tracking number(s) and the name of the person authorized to pick it up.

After Hours and Weekend Services

  • Closure Times: The mailroom is closed on weekends and holidays. All deliveries will be processed on the following business day.
  • Amazon Lockers: We are in the process of installing Amazon lockers to allow for package pick-up after hours and on weekends for your convenience.

Outgoing Mail and Packages

  • Prepaid Labels: You can drop off items with prepaid labels at the mailroom.
  • Mail and packages can be sent using OWL BUCKS. Note that we do not accept cash or credit/debit cards.

Special Circumstances

  • Incorrect Delivery Address: If your package was sent to the university but you no longer live on campus, you can pick it up or have a friend do so. Alternatively, we will forward it if possible or return it to the sender.
  • Break Periods: If your package arrives during a break, email mailroom@westfield.ma.edu to confirm delivery. For redirection, purchase a prepaid shipping label from USPS or UPS and forward it to us.

Unclaimed Mail

  • Retention Period: Unclaimed mail will be returned to the sender after 14 business days.
  • End of Academic Year: USPS mail will be forwarded to the address on record after the Spring semester. Packages from other carriers will be returned to sender.

Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
CLOSED: Saturdays, Sundays and all major holidays.

SUMMER HOURS: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
