Transfer the credits you have already earned

Bring the credits you’ve already earned and apply them to your degree at Westfield State. Here’s how we review your transcript:

  1. Our Admission Staff will evaluate your transcript for Admission to the University.
  2. All 100-level or higher courses will receive credit at Westfield State.  Westfield State will accept more than the traditional 90 credits as well.
  3. Once you have been accepted and receive your course audit, our dedicated Transfer Advisor will meet with you to help you better understand your courses and how they will apply to your degree.

Step 2: Request your Anna Maria College Transcript

Westfield State will need a copy of your transcript, and you can request your transcript to be sent electronically.

Please note: we will need copies of any other college transcripts you may previously have. We will also need a copy of your high school transcript with a graduation date (unless you have previously earned an Associate’s Degree).  Right now, we will waive these requirements to help expedite the admission process.

Step 3: Send your existing FAFSA

Using FAFSA’s “Add a School” option, you can send Westfield State a copy of your FAFSA.

FAQs

Are all Anna Maria students guaranteed admission to Westfield State?

All current Anna Maria College undergraduate students with a 2.0 GPA and in good academic standing, will be guaranteed admission to Westfield State University. 

Will I have to change my major at Westfield State?

Westfield State offers many of the same majors as Anna Maria College, allowing students to transfer credits and stay on track. In some instances, however, where space is limited or program offerings vary, students may be offered a different track to pursue.

What materials do I need to apply as a transfer student?

Transfer applicants should submit official college transcripts from all colleges attended, a current course schedule if they are enrolled at the time of application, and in some cases a final high school transcript or GED score report. Essays and letters of recommendation are optional.

What is the deadline?

The priority deadline is May 15th.

How many of my credits will transfer?

Our Admission team will work with you to determine the number of credits that are eligible for transfer. We are committed to accepting as many of the credits you have earned at Anna Maria College. 

Where will my degree be from?

All Anna Maria College transfer students who meet the graduation requirements at Westfield State will be awarded a degree from Westfield State University.

Will the financial aid I receive be the same as what I received from Anna Maria College?

Westfield State will work with all students to ensure that the cost of attending Westfield State is as close to Anna Maria’s costs as possible.  Your financial aid may be different based on your SAI, but you may also find that the overall cost of attending Westfield State is lower than Anna Maria’s costs.

Transfer students must meet the transfer eligibility requirements to compete on behalf of Westfield State.  To start, students can complete an NCAA Division III Self-Release Form (for transfer students) or contact the Compliance/Eligibility coordinator at Anna Maria College.
