Tarin Weiss

Biography

Dr. Weiss joined the Department in Fall 2007 and teaches courses in science education, geology, and physical science. Her primary interests focus on how students learn science and best teaching practices K-16. She is a regular and committee member of, and presents at meetings sponsored by, the National Association of Geology Teachers (NAGT), Geological Society of America (GSA), the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), and the Massachusetts Association of Science Teachers (MAST). She presents at the local and national level on topics related to teaching and learning and the Geology of Massachusetts. Recently, she has published for NAGT’s In the Trenches and NEIGC’s annual geology field trip guide.
