The Alliance is dedicated to establishing and maintaining fellowship between veterans/military and students on campus, providing advocacy, peer-based support, and networking opportunities for students and their families.

Student Veterans of America (SVA)
The Westfield State University Veteran’s Alliance is an official Chapter Member of the SVA, which works to provide veterans with the resources, support, and advocacy needed to succeed in higher education and post-graduation. The SVA works closely with the Department of Veterans Administration (VA) as well as the government to provide the best possible options to the country's growing veteran population as they transition from their service to the civilian world and go back to school.
The SVA also works with many businesses and the government, pushing to make hiring veterans a priority, although their primary focus is on education.
