Semi-Annual Club Fair Invites Students to Connect and Get Involved
On Thursday, January 30, the Westfield State Student Government Association hosted its semi-annual Club Fair in the University Hall Multipurpose Room.
The event boasted more than 40 organizations spanning from cultural and service-based clubs and academic and professional organizations to those focused on personal hobbies and creative performance groups. Organizers invited students to explore their current interests, make friends, and develop new skills by joining one of the organizations in attendance – or create their own groups to join with fellow Owls.
Research has shown that clubs and organizations provide students with important connections during their university years and are excellent ways to gain leadership experience. Students often cite their participation in extracurricular activities as one of the most rewarding aspects of college.
Westfield State’s social media team was on hand throughout the event to ask groups to describe themselves in one word.
- First Responders Club: Dedicated
- Asian and Pacific Islanders Student Union: Adaptable
- Campus Activities Board: Eventful
