It
is 1620 in England and the King and Queen are forcing their citizens
to all become Catholic and follow the Church of England. Many people
were furious at this and they wanted to have the right to choice their
relion and practice their own. They decided to plan an escape and head
to a new land where they were free to practice their own religion.
They worked together to plot their escape and on Septemeber 6,
1620,
They set sail on their ship for the 66 day journey with 102 passengers
aboard and a crew of 30 men to work the decks and adjust the
sails. |
