	Food is a scare item and so your meals usually consisted of salted meats and fish (the salt helps prevent spoilage), peas, beans, beet and hard cheese. To keep yourselves occupied, you can play games with others or listen to people reading books to passengers. Sometimes, if the weathers nice, they will let you go on the upper decks to play. When a storm hits, we must all go down under deck were it is dark, damp and crowded, but is the safest place.  Once down there, we all gathered together and pray for our safety because we get thrashed around and beaten up due to the violent storm.  Unfortunately, many of us get really seasick from the heavy movements we have to endure due to the horrible waves.
