Theoretical Perspective: This is
important because we need to keep our environment
clean and have it a clean and safe place for humans
and animals.
Procedure: As a teacher we will have our
class website, and the students will click on the
bookmark that will take them to the website link.
Introductory Activity:As an introductory
activity we will start this topic off with reading a
book about Earth Day, to get the children aware of
this activity.
Step-by-step:
Step one: Read introductory book.
Step two: Pass out worksheet.
Step three: Grab computers.
Step four: Go to class website- click on
the “Everyday is Earth day”.
Step five: Have the children follow the
directions that the website provides. The students
will read the introduction and then complete the
activity.
Step six: Once they are on the activity
make sure they are placing the recyclables into the
place they think is correct.
Step seven: Make sure they are filling
out the handout that we provided.
Closure: After each student completed
the worksheet, collect them.
Adaptations for different learners: If
needed the teachers will read aloud the instructions,
and go over what needs to be done before class is
over.
Homework: None
Evaluation:We will evaluate by checking
the worksheet the students completed during the
activity and tally how many attempts out of the three
possible bins, they needed to get it right. The main
concern for this lesson is that the students will
eventually figure out which material needs to go into
which bin through process of elimination.
