Provides parents with resources for getting their child ready to go back to school and advice for making the transition from summer to the new school year as smooth as possible for everyone.

Westfield Athenaeum:
One of the best and easiest ways to encourage reading and literacy at home is accessing your public library. This is the website for the Westfield Athenaeum, where out can find out how to get library cards, events, and research the texts available.  

Reading tips for parents:
Scholastic, the nationwide book publisher, offers advice for parents on how to support and teach literacy to their children at home. Literacy is the basis for education, but not all parents know how to see when their children are struggling or know how to help. This website offers advice for doing so as well as other related resources.

Health and wellness:

Health issues can be especially harmful to children. This website offers information and support services for dealing with obesity prevention, emotional health, hunger, substance abuse, chronic conditions, and safe drinking water.
