Join us Sept. 22-24 for our combined Reunion/Homecoming and Family Day program that will provide alumni, students, their families, faculty, and staff with the opportunity to spend the weekend together celebrating everything Westfield State.
On Friday, check out our newly renovated classrooms, meet the faculty, take campus tours of your past, and see the future in our new and innovative facilities. Celebrate your 50th anniversary as a new Golden Owl, or attend our celebration of educators at our on-campus luncheon. Enjoy family style entertainment, including Boston-based magician Todd Migliacci, and the Screen on the Green, featuring the 2017 smash hit Beauty and the Beast.
On Saturday, enjoy our annual reunion brunch, highlighting the classes ending in “2” and “7,”highlighting the classes ending in “2” and “7” and the Honors Program. The Family Fun Run/Walk, Run/Walk will feature an obstacle course designed for all athletic levels and a participation souvenir you will want to add to your Westfield State University collection.
Don’t miss all the sporting events, including Westfield State versus Worcester State football game with game-side activities such as a beer garden, Trivia by Tom, Kashawn “DJ-Boogy” Harris ’13, and traditional football fare. It’s game-on for women’s volleyball, soccer, and field hockey at the Woodward Center Field House and Alumni Field.
On the main campus, we’ll have a full carnival midway, featuring games, food trucks, and the Club Fair, which will highlight our activities and clubs. Our Music Department will be spotlighted with a concert involving students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
President Ramon S. Torrecilha will host a State of the University address you won’t want to miss. Dr. Torrecilha will outline current events on campus, and you’ll have a chance to ask questions.
Saturday evening, join us at the Westwood Restaurant and Pub for more reunion celebrations for the classes of 2005, 2002, 2012, and 2017—and anyone interested in continuing the homecoming party!
Specialty dinners will be prepared by our new Westfield State University Dining Services, featuring Fajita Friday and a Farm-to-Fork family dinner on Saturday to showcase our sustainability initiatives. Your meals will be made with fresh ingredients from local farms and dairies that have been working collaboratively with Westfield State University to provide the campus community with the best-tasting and healthiest foods.
In addition, be on the lookout for open classrooms, faculty panel discussions, poetry readings, interfaith services, and reunion opportunities.
New this year, we will offer off-campus excursions to the Big E in West Springfield and provide discount coupons to other local attractions.

Westfield State Student Calling Program
Westfield State’s Student Calling Program helps alumni and parents stay connected to the University. Throughout the academic year, approximately 15 students from various backgrounds dedicate time to hear about your Westfield State experience, update you on campus news, ensure that your information on file is correct, and ask for your support of the Westfield Fund. When your phone rings with the 413 area code, please answer the call to speak with a student who is eager to hear about your time at Westfield State.
Summer of Fun 2017
This year’s Summer of Fun was a huge success with our Kick-off to Summer, Whitewater Rafting Trip, the ninth annual alumni retreat, and our Sunset Cruise on the Cape. Thank you to all who attended!
Fifth Annual New York City Trip
Westfield State alumni and friends will host the annual bus trip to New York City on Saturday, Dec. 9. The motor coach will leave campus from the Horace Mann parking lot, 333 Western Ave. at 6:30 a.m. and will return to campus at approximately 10 p.m. Once in Manhattan, you will have the day to explore on your own. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased online at westfieldalumni.org/nyc.
Persons of COULEUR Alumni Reunion
Join us for our first-ever Persons of Couleur Alumni Reunion on Oct. 14. Join with your fellow Owls of color and reminisce. Interact with current students, faculty, and staff while taking a trip down memory lane. Tickets for alumni, faculty, and staff cost $15, and tickets for current students are $10.
