Visiting epidemiology professor presents virtual COVID-19 lecture

Epidemiologist Rachel Graham, Ph.D., presented a virtual lecture titled “COVID-19: Overview and Progress Toward Control of a Pandemic Coronavirus,” Dec. 16.

Invited by WSU Assistant Professor of Biology Arne Christensen, Ph.D., to speak during a synchronous Cell Biology class, Dr. Graham has more than 17 years of experience studying coronaviruses (prior to the SARS-CoV epidemic), focusing on their molecular virology, replication, and response to selection pressures.

Dr. Graham is an assistant professor in the Department of Epidemiology in the Gillings School of Global Public Health at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She received her Ph.D. in microbiology and immunology from Vanderbilt University in 2006.
