Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society inducts 88 first-year students

The University inducted 88 students to its newly established campus chapter of the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society for First-year Success at an April 8 ceremony.

The individuals inducted earned a grade point average of at least 3.5 during their first semester at Westfield State.

In addition to academic excellence, Alpha Lambda Delta also aims to promote intelligent living and to assist students in recognizing and developing meaningful goals for their roles in society.

Westfield State is just the ninth college in Massachusetts and one of just 280 universities nationwide to host an Alpha Lambda Delta chapter.

In addition to the recognition of academic excellence, Alpha Lambda Delta members are eligible to compete for both undergraduate and study abroad scholarships.
