Westfield State will host a Veterans Day observance this year with the global pandemic in mind to honor our nation’s peacekeepers.
Active duty military, military-connected students, the Guard and Reserve members who were activated during this year for all reasons, and veterans will be honored in an evening, drive-through celebration with music, warm drinks, and a pre-recorded ceremony.
There will be a special commemoration for guard and reserve members who have or will soon receive their Veteran status, by federal definition, for the first time. In addition guard and reserves coming into their Veteran Status during COVID will be celebrated with luminaries around the campus to honor and thank them.
