WSU Foundation Golf Classic raises $33,000 for Nursing and PA programs

Jennifer Hixon, D.H.Sc., professor and chair of the University's Health Sciences Department, enjoys the Westfield State Foundation Golf Tournament with her sister, Pam.

The Westfield State Foundation, Inc. held its 26th Annual Golf Classic on September 28 to benefit the University’s Nursing and Physician Assistant programs. This year, 100 golfers raised $33,000 to support these programs.

Over the past 26 years the tournament has aided hundreds of Westfield State students through scholarship and internship support. The success of the tournament was due to the generosity of the University’s corporate sponsors, led by presenting sponsor Westfield Bank, and alumni.
