Career Center launches ‘Ready to Work’ campaign for seniors

The University’s Career Center has launched a campaign to showcase members of the Class of 2020 who are ready to work. The “Ready to Work” campaign is also helping the seniors navigate the job market, made difficult by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak earlier this year. The seniors’ headshots, academic major, location, employment interests, and LinkedIn profile link are featured in infographics that are shared on the University’s official LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram channels.

Junior Delgado, director of the Career Center and Employer Relations, created the campaign.

“There were more than 400 views of the post after it was added to LinkedIn, and a university in Tennessee asked to borrow the content,” he said. “I wanted Westfield State to be the first university in the country to do this.”

The Career Center seeks to broadly chair the student snapshots and plan to feature a different senior every day.
