Tom Raffensperger, dean of academic information services and director of Ely Library, was recently elected to the executive board of the Massachusetts Library System.
During this three-year appointment, Dean Raffensperger will serve more than 1,600 libraries throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
The MLS, a state-supported collaborative, fosters cooperation, communication, innovation, and sharing among member libraries of all types, promoting equitable access to library services and resources.
A Westfield State administrator for eight years, Dean Raffensperger previously worked at libraries at Portland State University and the University of Alaska Anchorage. He holds a master’s degree in library science from the University of Hawaii Manoa.
