The University will host a debate between the two candidates for the mayor of the City of Westfield on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 6:30 p.m. at Dever Auditorium. State Senator Donald Humason Jr. ’89 will face Westfield Police Captain Michael McCabe ’84.
Both alumni of the University, Sen. Humason and Capt. McCabe will participate in a one-hour debate, co-sponsored by Westfield State, The Republican, and The Westfield News. Former Western Mass News talent Ray Hershel will serve as moderator.
The event is open to the public and campus community. Those who attend are encouraged to arrive early as the televised and live-streamed event will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m.
