Dialogue on Enrollment

The University’s Enrollment Management Committee hosted a dialogue on enrollment Oct. 11, where members shared information about the changing admission landscape, shifting demographics, and how the University has adjusted its recruitment and retention strategies, among other topics.

Discussion included many questions and suggestions, including: reaching out to former students who were unable to complete their degree about coming back to pursue it; providing more services for students of color, and getting prospective parents of those populations on campus to learn about the University; improving customer service to students; working with more community-based organizations to attract students; and offering in-state tuition for out-of-state residents, among many others.

Enrollment management is compiling the information and aims to research several of the ideas mentioned during the dialogue.

The campus community will be invited to a second session, to be held Friday, November 22 at 1:40 p.m.
