Twenty-seven students inducted to Pi Sigma Alpha

Twenty-seven University students were recently inducted into the Mu Nu chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society.

Inductees are ranked in the top third of their class, and have successfully completed at least four political science courses with a minimum of a B average.

This year’s inductees were seniors Anaika Alegria-Cabral, Marisa Fernandes, Connor Gatewood, Allison Gurney, Jedadiah Henry, Shea Hiltz, Emilie Jacques, Sarah Krom, Devorah Lipschitz, Tabu Mhina, Jessica Odell, Jacob O’Kane, Bryan Pimentel, Jeffrey Schuster, John Shahzade, Abel Ventura, Nicholas Volk, and Maria Woodall; and juniors Maison Bergeron, Abigail Cummings, Felicia Delany, Ethan Goodfellow, Melissa Hersey, Caitlyn Letourneau, Isabella Morris, Zackary Perry, and Melanie Voss.

Pi Sigma Alpha was founded in 1920 to bring together students and faculty interested in the study of government and politics. It has more than 775 active chapters, including Westfield State’s Mu Nu chapter which was granted its charter in 1982.
