The sixth annual premier fundraising event of the Westfield State Foundation was held May 9, talented student projects and performances were highlights of the event.
This year’s event celebrated the ‘Westfield’ in Westfield State, complementing the City of Westfield’s 350th anniversary.
The work of students from a multitude of departments and student organizations highlighted the event, including research displays and presentations, musical interludes, short theatrical performances, and “dinner-by-the-bite.” The funds raised during the event will help support student internships, initiatives, and the newly established Westfield Pride Scholarship, awarded to the student who holds the highest-grade point average from each of Westfield’s three secondary schools and plans to enroll at the University this fall.
