Sigma Tau Delta inducts 20 new members

Twenty University students were inducted to Sigma Tau Delta at its annual ceremony April 11.

Sigma Tau Delta is the English Honor Society that strives to recognize excellence in all areas of English language and literature studies, encourage further achievement in these areas, provide cultural stimulation on college campuses, and foster all aspects of the disciplines of English, including literature, language, and writing.

This year’s inductees were seniors David Brazeau and Shantel Isaacs; juniors Ariabel Adames, Teresa Adams, Kaylee Bayersdorfer, Michael Canavan, Ryan Morey, Isabella Valadas, Ashley Westry, and Brianna Wright; and sophomores Meaghan Davis, Anthony Duval, Joanne Hatch, Mackenzie Jackson, Caitlynn Kelly, Victoria MacLean, Tyler Morrissette, Taylor Pierce, Lindsay Stenico, and Audrey Therriault.

Members are required to have completed at least three semesters of college work with a minimum of two advanced courses in English. They must also have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA in English and rank in the top 35 percent of their class overall.
