The University’s fourth annual Fresh Check Day and health fair was held March 28 in Ely Campus Center. Approximately 500 people participated, including students, faculty, staff, and volunteers.
As the signature program of the Jordan Porco Foundation, Fresh Check Day helps college campuses promote mental health awareness and wellness in a fun and interactive way. The simultaneous health fair featured external organizations including local hospitals, mental health and/or wellness centers, rehabilitation agencies, and foundations. Several student organizations also participated in the day’s events.
For the second consecutive year, the event continued into the evening with Fresh Check After Dark, which included a WSU Dance Team performance, accompanied by Nestor.
Fresh Check Day is observed at 208 colleges and universities in 40 states and Washington, D.C.
