Dr. Monique Lopez appointed registrar

Following the conclusion of a national search, Dr. Monique Lopez has been appointed as permanent registrar of Westfield State University.

Dr. Lopez has been a dedicated and engaged member of the community for 18 years, during which she served in a variety of roles within the Office of the Registrar including as an administrative assistant and as assistant registrar for over a decade.

As assistant registrar, Dr. Lopez worked consistently to identify and alleviate barriers to student success including monitoring and review of the use of registration holds and assessing limited availability of gateway courses. In her role as interim registrar, she has been essential in our transition to the college structure and the further implementation of technology including laying the groundwork to implement the planning component of our Degreeworks software and pursuing the use and distribution of electronic transcripts.

Dr. Lopez holds an Ed.D. in educational leadership from the University of Hartford and a M.S in management from Cambridge College.
