Thirty-three students inducted into National Political Science Honor Society

This year's inductees to Pi Sigma Alpha

Thirty-three students were recently inducted into the Mu Nu chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society.

Inductees are required to major or minor in political science, ranked in the top third of their class, and have successfully completed at least four political science courses with a minimum of a B average.

The amount of students inducted was Westfield State’s highest total in one year, said faculty advisor Charles DiStefano, Ph.D., assistant professor of political science.

Pi Sigma Alpha was founded in 1920 to bring together students and faculty interested in the study of government and politics. It now has more than 775 active chapters, including Westfield State’s Mu Nu chapter which was granted its charter in 1982.
