Mercury is
the
smallest planet in the Solar System by surface area, volume,
and equatorial
diameter.
Surprisingly, it is one of the most dense. Mercury has a
surface area
of 7.48×107 km2. That is 10.8%
of the surface area of Earth. Mercury would be
smaller than some continents on our planet, if you laid it
out flat.
It is
smaller than some of the dwarf planets and moons that are in
our solar system.
