The
wetland biome is one that many
people don’t really see as being important. In fact, in many areas they
consider
it to be irritating. Swampland is the most common type of wetland
biome, but they also include marshes and bogs and they can be various
sizes.
Some of them are very long and deep. Others are nothing more than a few
feet of
water in a given location but they are still very important. The water
that
makes up the wetlands is....
The
wetland biome is made up of waters that support plant life in those areas. They
help the environment to prevent flooding and take on excess amounts of water
from other lakes or rivers, also they can put water back into lakes and rivers
when they become to low. One of the biggest wetland biome can be found in
Florida, it has humid conditions that are able to help plant life survive.
Hurricane Katrina has destroyed many of the wetland areas in Louisiana and with
a change in the environment most of them have not been able to recover. It is
important to protect the wetlands because they are very important to our
environment and to other biomes in the world.
