Aardvarks are typically nocturnal, reclusive animals with the exceptions of mothers and their babies. Males tend to wander, while the females usually stay in one place.  Aardvarks eat ants, termites, and other insects by
using their long tongues to slurp up their meals out of the ground. The aardvark
isn't listed as threatened, but its numbers are decreasing,
