Summary:


This will be a group activity. Students will be in groups with four people in them. Each group will get a bag with money in it and a worksheet that
asks questions corresponding to the amount of money they have in the bag. Students will have to work together to decided if they have enough
money to purchase the items and if they have enough money they need to state how much change they will get back. If they don’t have enough
money they need to state how much more money they need.

Directions:
Get into groups of four. Count how much money you have in the bag and decided as a group whether or not you have enough money to buy the items.
If you are short money state how much money you are short and if you have enough money to buy the items and will get money back state how much money you will get back.

2.Ice cream for four people costs five dollars and twenty five cents. Do you have enough money?

 

 

3.A Halloween mask costs 3 dollars and 73 cents. Do you have enough money?

 

4.A jar of peanut butter costs $2.05. Do you have enough money?

 

 


5.A bottle of water costs one dollar and ninety nine cents. Do you have enough money?

 

 
6.A binder for your math class costs 4 dollars and 20 cents. Do you have enough money?




7.A pack of gum costs $1.19. Do you have enough money to buy the pack of gum?
