an endangered species with each of the designated habitats.

Instructional Technique:
KWL Chart- Group Work
The Magic School Bus: Hops Home - Lecture
By: Pat Relf
Russell's Hunt For the Habitats- Individual Experiment

Instructional Materials:
KWL Chart
The Magic School Bus: Hops Home
By: Pat Relf
Russell's Hunt For the Habitats- Online Game

Theoretical Perspective:
It's important to fully understand the habitats in order to have an open mind to what the world is like outside of our comfort zone. We need to understand other perspectives in order to understand ourselves and decide which road to turn down. Habitat education can help one preserve areas that will be destroyed by humans otherwise. The focus of the lesson is to have students understand where other animals and plants are native to.

Procedure:

A. No Intro
B.
  1.     Introduce KWL Chart and ask students what they know about habitats and what they would like to know.
  2. Let them know that the objective of the lesson is to learn about habitats through a story, game and feeding off one another's thoughts.
  3. Read The Magic School Bus: Hops Home, By: Pat Relf and emphasize and ask questions about each habitat.
  4. Return to the KWL Chart and have the students list what they know about the habitats now. Tell them they will be able to return to the KWL Chart at any time during the next activity.
  5. Introduce Russell's Hunt For the Habitats and require students to refer to the links provided if they get a question wrong.
  6. Return to the KWL Chart and ask them one last time what they know about each habitat.
C. Students should be able to look at the KWL Chart and feel confident about their new knowledge base on the habitats.
D. A para-professional should assist those students who can't read Russel's Hunt For the Habitat game on their own.
E. No Homework.

Evaluation:
A) We will have met our objectives when each student completes the Russell's Hunt For the Habitat Game and the KWL chart is complete.
  - The habitats will be completely identified along with the endgangered species when the online game activity is complete
B) I'm concerned with whether the students will implement the educational links after they get a question right.
