Theodore Roosevelt

As a boy Theodore was frail and sickly but became a physically fit teenage. For the rest of his life he would encourage people to work hard.
In 1984 his wife, Alice Hathaway Lee and mother died in the same house on the same day.
To cope with the pain he went out West where he was a rancher and captured outlaws as a frontier sheriff.
Two years later he returned to New York and married Edith Kermit Carow.
Roosevelt became the president of the New York City police board and secretary of the Navy, after he lost an election to be mayor of New York.
In office he was always honest which made other politicians angry.

After he lost his wife and mother, Roosevelt went out West and became a rancher and this other job?
