Alkaline earth metals are both ductile and mallable. This means that alkaline earth metals are able to be drawn into wires and pounded into thin sheets. There are six alkaline earth metals in the periodic table. These elements include Beryllium(Be), Magnesium(Mg), Calcium(Ca), Strontium(Sr), Barium(Ba) and Radium(Ra).
