Lesson Plan: Addition & Subtraction Review

Objective:	Students will be able to demonstrate their understanding of addition and subtraction.
Lesson:	Note: Students would have already had a clear, well thought out and taught lesson on the properties of addition and subtraction; this lesson plan is great for a "Review Day". Review for the addition and subtraction test by first playing "around the world" in the class room with flash cards. Allow students to recognize if they have any questions and/or problems. Complete "Appalachian Trail" Review on the computers. Come together at the end of the lesson to openly discuss the activity- hard/easy? like/dislike?
Homework:	Have students complete a review sheet, along with studying their addition and subtraction flash cards.
Evaulation:	As a teacher you know you will have succeeded when the student has completed the end of the review. **Even though there is no way to determine how long it took the student or how many tries in order to get the correct answer- observation is the key. As the teacher, you should be circulating and observing who is further behind and why.
