Frohliche Weihnachten
In Germany, Christmas celebrations usually begin around December 1st. Evenings are set aside to start baking spiced cakes, cookies, getting presents, and decorating. On the eve of December 5th, a boot is left outside the house and if the child was good, there would be presents, and if you were a naughty child, there would be nothing but a rod.
