Lesson objectives:
students will be able to identify different stages in the butterfly life cycle by taking the online quiz.
students will compare answers they though were easy and difficult after taking the quiz

• Instructional technique: quiz(website), class discussion, group work
• Instructional materials: Note cards, worksheets
  
• Theoretical perspective: The life cycle of a butterfly is important to know because it is the process of life, and without the life cycle the small caterpillar would not be able to grow. Without the life cycle the butterfly would not exist at all.
• Procedure:
• A.Introductory activity (If applicable)- during the introduction the teacher will provide the students a worksheet with a blank life cycle. The students will have to fill it out before the quiz to show what they already know. Then the teacher will talk to the students about the important vocabulary words relating to the butterfly.
  
• B. Step by step- students will watch a video of a butterfly during its growth process on youtube. The teacher will prepare a handout for them to fill out after watching the video before they start the online quiz.(website)
  
• C. Closure- for the closure lesson the students will be put in groups to talk about which questions they found difficult and which questions they found easy. The students will also look at each others blank worksheet life cycle they have now filled out and see if they have similar answers or not.
• D. Adaptations- Print the quiz out, read it to students, modify the quiz for slower reading students.
• Evaluation- I will review how each student did on the quiz based on the discussion the students have after taking to the quiz to see if students understand the life cycle of the monarch butterfly.
