This is my second year of teaching first grade at the Green Street School, and I love my job!
I love teaching at this grade because the students are new to learning and still interested in it.
My favorite thing to do in the classroom is reading aloud to my students, as I love to tell a good story.
I want all my students to leave my classroom with a love for reading and have a basinful of great books they enjoy.
I received my undergraduate and graduate degree from Westfield State University.
I am still in school to get my PHD in psychology, taking night classes at Harvard University.
I also continue to work on my professional growth as a teacher by attending workshops and taking some courses.
When I'm not teaching in the classroom, I am coaching the local high school swim team.
I also am spending time with my family and friends going to the beach, riding our bikes around town and walking our dogs.
When the weather is not nice out, I like to snuggle up with my dog and either watch a movie or curl up with a good book.
