Each week I will be adding two new "Power Words" to this page that students are learning in class. The goal is to widen our vocabulary by knowing how to spell, pronounce and apply these words properly in a sentence. I encourage you to try integrating these words into everyday speech and prompt your child to try using them as well.

Previous Week's Words

"I will achieve my dream of becoming a dentist."
Climate: the usual weather of a place
"The rain forest has a very rainy and hot climate."
Develop: to grow or build on something
"Today I will develop a flower garden from the soil in my yard."
Enormous: very large
"At the zoo I saw an enormous elephant. He was the biggest animal at the zoo."

"Penguins live in Antarctica where the climate is frigid."

This Week's Words
