Hammy is a sweet, lovable Golden Hamster. He is our special friend and also a huge responsibility!
During our morning and afternoon tasks, someone checks on his water and he is fed a nice, big meal. All students will have several opportunities to feed him (only if their permission slip is signed), as it is based on a rotating schedule. Hammy enjoys being read to during story time, and every once in a while we will let him roam in his rolling ball. He is an active little guy, and he really shows us how important exercise is! One of the teachers cleans his cage every Friday to ensure that he is a happy and clean hamster for the weekend and the upcoming week.
