Lesson Objectives:
The student will be able to …
-Identify multiplication and division
equations with corresponding solutions using numbers 1-12.
-Retain times tables using multiplication and
division problems with repetitive practice.
Instructional Technique:
The students will work individually on this
assignment. Each student will experiment with the website by
demonstrating their own individual multiplication and division
skills by playing each assigned game along with recording their
results.

Theoretical Perspective:
For students to understand and demonstrate
how multiplication and division relate to other math operations
such as addition and subtraction. It’s important for students to
be able to solve and understand how these math sequences are
used and can serve as a tool for future math problems.
Furthermore, it is important for students to understand
multiplication and division in order for them to apply these
facts to the real world.
Procedure: (As a teacher, what will
you and the students do.)
A. Introductory Activity: Monster
Multiplication and Division Warm Up Worksheet
B. Step-by-step:
C. Closure: At the end of the game students
will record their scoring results on their worksheets. If a
student answered any problems wrong then they will record that
equation(s) and complete them on the worksheet showing their
work for a homework assignment.
D. Adaptations for different learners: The
teacher will accommodate this lesson for students who are math
phobic by allowing them to use the warm up blocks while they are
playing the assigned math game. If they have trouble answering
the questions then the blocks will be provided as a visual
reference to them so they can count the problems out.
A. How / when will you determine if you have
met your objectives?
The teacher will know if the students have
met the objectives if they have completed all the multiplication
and division problems accurately, or if the students can explain
their mistakes with problems they did not answer correctly.
B. Concerns or questions you have about
teaching this lesson?
-One of the concerns for this lesson is that
students may continuously click the answers without trying to
answer the problem with the least amount of errors possible.
This may conclude inaccurate results. The teacher will follow up
with this by evaluating the results and assign the student
homework to correct their errors on paper so the teacher can see
their work and corrections.
