Meet our class pet Bernard the Bunny! The students get a sense of responsibility when having to feed him and give him water. Each day the student of the day must tell me whether the cage needs to get cleaned or not. The students in class love having this happy little guy hopping around and allows them to take care of a living thing while learning all about their needs. Bernard loves to eat carrots and the occasional nibble on an apple slice showing the students that everyone should eat healthy! He loves his water and rabbit pellets for his source of fiber and loves to take a snooze while the students are working independently! Bernard is a great helper for this first grade class and is enjoying spending time learning and playing each day!
