Lesson Plan |
Lesson
Objective: The children will
be able to identify the primary colors, which are Red, Blue
and Yellow at the end of this lesson. The student will be able
to show the teacher all the primary colors. Students will
learn the three primary colors so that students can create
other colors by mixing them together.
Instructional
Materials: Students can work
in a group or individual. The teacher will give the students
the equipment or supplies depending on what lesson the
teacher has plan. (Website)

Crayons, Paint, Paper or computer.
Theoretical
Perspective: Students will be able to
identify primary colors than they will be able to develop
secondary colors. Once the children learn the primary colors
they will now learn how to mix the primary colors with other
colors to make new colors.
Academically it is important for each student to
understand the basis foundation of all colors as it is
important for each student early cognitive development.
Procedure: As
a teacher I would have the students go around the classroom to
find anything that are the same as the three primary colors to
start. The focus is that students learn the primary colors so
they can create new colors which are secondary colors.
Introductory
Activity: Color matching
Step by step:
On the computer matching colors with the same colors with
different shapes and objects. (www.teacherpayteacher.-

Introductory
Activity:
Coloring
or
Painting
Step by
step: The
teacher will have a student or two to help hand out the paper,
crayons, paint brushes, paper and water. Ask the students to
color something of the three primary colors they have and if
they feel comfortable they can mix the colors with other
colors to see what colors they would come up with. I will have
handouts on what colors mix together will make another color.
Closure:
At
the end of this lesson the students will be able to know their
primary colors and able to mix colors together to make other
colors.
Adaptation: If a student can’t
understand I could have color flash cards and keep going over
the colors with them. Have handouts with the color name and
have the student to match picture with color.
Evaluation: I will know by the
end of the lesson if I meant my objectives if all the students
will be able to recognize their primary colors as well as
their secondary colors.
Objectives: The students will
be able to identify the primary colors, which are Red, Blue
and Yellow. The student will be able to identify the primary
colors by demonstrating what colors go with what colors.
