Students explore music through the ages and get the chance to make some of their own. In music we experiment with vocal voice as well as instrumental and cultural dance.
At Meadowbrook we feel that reading is the key to learning and opening doors for the future. We want to promote a lifelong love of reading and so we like to take time during our week to visit the library. Our librarian takes time to read outloud a book of her choosing and then the students have the opportunity to check out books for the week.
*We would recommend students read at least an hour a night. *
In science lab we provide more time to the many subcategories of the subject.This extra block gives us the time to explore hands on activities and create deeper meaning when it comes to the subject.
Physical Education helps the children become active and stay active later on in life. We want our children running around and learning games and teamwork activities not only to be healthy but to relieve stress and give them a break from a week of academics.
In art we take time to teach students about various works throughout history. We give them ample time to explore and express their creativity through sculpture, crafting, drawing, painting, and design.
